Safe Place for Youth
Safe Place for Youth’s mission is to inspire, nurture, and empower the resilient human spirit of homeless youth by providing immediate and lasting solutions, one young person at a time.
Our program prioritizes low barriers for entry, harm-reduction, a trauma-informed approach, and the provision of a safe, supportive environment.
Basic human needs are addressed through a “safe haven” atmosphere of hope and concern. SPY provides three core areas of service provision: Street Outreach, Drop-in Center, and Case Management.
As you may have heard, our storage unit was part of the large fire a couple weeks ago in Venice where eight firefighters were injured fighting the blaze. Thanks so much to all first responders! We lost a huge supply of new underwear, socks, and warm winter clothing that the homeless youth desperately rely on as the winter months approach. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to donate any gently used winter clothing, or new underwear or socks. Our most needed items during the winter months include warm blankets and sleeping bags. Any funds donated will go directly to serving homeless youth on the Westside of LA. Please use the Donate button at the bottom of the page to donate funds.
